Facebook Data Deletion Instructions
How to disconnect Facebook and ask Cowcentric to remove information associated with the Page integration.
Last reviewed 31 August 2026
These instructions explain how to disconnect the Cowcentric Website Facebook integration and request deletion of information received or recorded through that connection.
1. Disconnect through Facebook
You can withdraw the website’s Facebook connection from the Facebook account that authorised it:
- Open Facebook’s Settings & privacy and then Settings.
- Find Apps and Websites or Business Integrations. Facebook may use different wording depending on the account and Page setup.
- Find the Cowcentric website integration and choose Remove or revoke its access.
Removing the integration prevents the existing authorisation from being used. It does not automatically delete posts already published on Facebook or website articles already created from public Page posts.
2. Ask Cowcentric to delete integration data
Email mark@cowcentric.com with the subject Facebook data deletion request.
Please include:
- your name and the email address associated with the request;
- the name or ID of the Facebook Page concerned, if known;
- whether you want the Facebook connection removed, associated operational data deleted, or both; and
- enough information for us to identify the relevant connection.
Never send us your Facebook password or an access token. We will not ask you for either of them.
3. What we delete
Subject to any legal obligation or overriding security need, a confirmed deletion request can cover:
- the stored Facebook Page access token;
- the recorded Page ID, Page name and granted permission information;
- Facebook post IDs, permalinks and integration diagnostic logs associated with the request; and
- other Meta-derived account or Page connection information held specifically for the integration.
Cowcentric does not receive or store Facebook passwords, private messages, private timeline content or Facebook payment details through this integration.
4. Existing posts and website content
Disconnecting or deleting the integration data stops future automated Facebook importing and publishing until a Page administrator reconnects it.
Posts already published on Facebook remain controlled through Facebook and should be deleted from the Page itself. Articles or media already published on the Cowcentric website may be separate business records or public content. If you want particular website content removed as well, identify it clearly in your request so it can be assessed under the Cowcentric Privacy Policy.
5. What happens next
We will acknowledge the request, may ask for proportionate information to verify your authority, and normally respond within one month. Straightforward technical deletion will usually be completed sooner. We will tell you if an applicable legal exemption means some information must be retained.
